Text messaging on touch screen

Im getting fed up of using a qwerty touchscreen keyboard to text, does anyone know if their is a mobile phone style touch screen app for windows mobile 6.5pro

I have an app for windows mobile 5 (i think it is) on my semi retired HTC touch.

What handset are you using?

Mine (Touch HD) has the option of switching between about 4 different keyboard types without add-ons.

Im on a samsung omnia II, it has 5 different options too 2 normal keyboards (The normal ms qwerty and a samsung qwerty), a psion type hand writing thing, and then handwriting recognition and another recognition one.

I just want to input using a 10 button standard mobile phone style keyboard and then use predictive text.

no its only got a customisable qwerty keyboard from what I can see.

What would be the correct term to search for? for the type of keyboard im after?

does it not change when you tilt the phone over?

mine changes between full QWERTY and normal mobile type depending on if you have the handset horizontal or vertical

I think it is T9. Will have a look at what I had on my WinMo phone, I tried most !

ISTR these are SIPs ? So a T9 SIP is what you want ?

but
mine will display like that if it is vertical..or full qwerty if it is horizontal

My old HTC with Windows Mobile 5 has this option. Has text recognition, too, and it isn't too bad as it remembers regularly used words that might not be real... like "mooey".

nokia 5800 has this type of keyboard,
this is the only touch screen phone with this keyboard i have had experience with and to be frank it was utter rubbish!
