Yep, you soon wake up on that 1st drive!
Did you get brand new? Was the 1st brand new car i've ever bought & was a bit nerve racking, pulling out of the dealers!
Just gotta watch those rims on the kerbs as they are SO easy to catch, esp with the poor turning circle!
I did my 1st scrape about 3 weeks after getting mine!
A few swear words were said, i can tell you!
Wait until you've run it in, then the fun begins!
8000 miles on mine now & still get the biggest grin on every drive!!

By any chance are you the same Steve on Focusrsoc.com and is that Nick's (2HEL) car?
Here's my PBPK...

Not standard. Sorted the inlet/outlet routes with a K&N Filter and a Milly Turbo back decat. Took her round a track day at brands the other day and can say i was extactic with her. Bad end to the day though.. somehow started in gear in the garages as i was about to leave.. and kissed a Porsche Boxter.. to the cost of £600 for the Porsche and £162 for me (for a new black bumper insert)... Bad times...
Trying to get the photos up from the trackday, will post as soon as i finally work it out!
Come from a tuned Astra VXR Nurburgring before the RS and have to say, even with the chassis and engine tuning, the VXR isn't as much fun, and i couldn't trust it as much. The RS only got the filter and exhaust because Rob at SCC Performance is a good salesman
lol! It might be front wheel drive, but the only thing that overtook me on my trackday was a porsche boxster, the caterhams and elise on the track weren't close enough to initate overtaking and the poor saxo with half cage really didn't stand a chance against any of us.. but everyone involved had a cracking run!
