Return to the Fold and Thanks

Earlier in the week I picked up a new P&J - a Laser Blue T350C. Its a pleasure to be back (previously had a Chim & Cerb) and realised on the return journey just how much I have missed the TVR pleasure. Can't get them out of your blood!

Want to say a big thanks to John at SSCC for all his help, advice and patience from start to finish during the buy. And also a big thanks to Heath at X-Works for doing such a comprehensive inspection. Would thoroughly recommend both to anyone thinking of buying a TVR.

+1 for SSCC, only p!sser is the lack of clement weather to enjoy her!

How do you find the T350 to drive? I have a Chim 450 & have had a drive in a Tuscan; which I had a passion to buy, but I now have doubts on whether to change or not. So hope your experience will help. BTW your car looks georgeous.

I had a 400 Chim and changed to a T350T, now on second T350T and it is a quantum leap. I still love Chimaeras and Griffs and may one day return, who knows. The T cars are very different IMHO and the power is delivered differently and handling stiffer, short steering rack and different suspension. All TVRs are lovely but Chim and later was a major leap.
I have my eye on a Griff and mat sell my 08 T350T

The 1st thing I noticed was how 'cosy' the cabin was compared to the other 2. The Cerb was obviously 2+2 and with the Chim with the roof off at least felt roomier. I did find the steering and handling more precise (neither previous had any work done), and easier to drive. I haven't done enough miles yet, or pushed it, to really comment on power delivery compared to the others but it is a smooth delivery and also content to potter about as well.

The TVRs that I have owned are not better or worse, but just different charateristics and it comes down to what you prefer. The reason that I went for a 54 T350C was that it was one of the later models with the bits and bobs amended and for a youngish age one. Sagaris was too dear and brash for my requirements, but a great car no doubt. I guess it comes down to personal preferences.
