Hi Kev

Turn your top suspension bolts around or the threads and nuts will stop the body going on

Wot rubbish ment to say check bolt length and nut width to make sure the body woulnt catch - original comment (made with a totally inactive mind) would mean a body lift to change a shocker

Just a thought,if thats the case will he be able to get the bolts out once the body's back on if he needs to remove a Damper? or am I looking at it the wrong way?

even then, there isn't a lot of space between the bolt end and the body - mine has the bolts shortened flush with the top of the nuts. The nuts themselves are slightly slimmer than standard - don't know if you can buy them like that or if they are machined down.

Same on mine. Shorter bolts, thinner nylocs and thinner washers. I turned down some standard nylocs because I couldn't source the low profile type. The washers I used are M12 IIRC, which are thinner than the 1/2" ones. Dimension for the nut height is in the bolts wiki.

A bit off topic, but what did you do to your diff to get it so nice and shiny? Or is it new? I'm going to be cleaning up mine over the next week or two and could do with a couple of pointers.

The chassis looks lovely by the way. I'm getting mine back from being shot blasted/powder coated on Monday; I hope it looks as good as that!

hi tom ,fully degrease it then using a small wire brush in an electric drill remove the grime, then use an etch primer because its alloy followed by 2 coats of halfords aluminium paint job done

MOT testing station this morning and all went well a new certificate and no advisorys off to the post office for 6months road tax and looking good for a good run out on sunday fully armed with my breakdown card ha ha, one happy bunny kev
