Le Mans lock down after 12pm Sunday?
Discussion
Just thought I would add that the trend of the last couple of years seems to be that on Sunday from around 12am the french cops start shutting down all the roads leading out from the circuit. I got caught by this back in 2007 when trying to catch my early ferry home at around 12am.Got as far as the camp site exit and then waited till 4pm before finding your way out! If leaving before the end of the race I always pack up in the morning and find a car park outside of the circuit before 12pm to park up in.I think that the French Traffic cops let all the "local" /cars parked on the out circuit to exit before opening up the inner roads from Houx/Boaujoir/Carting and any other inner parking and camping areas.
Parking up outside this area also makes for a quick getaway when things start to come to a close Sunday afternoon, I hope this info is of some help to any new bees or anyone who wondered why leaving from inside the track just before the end of the race or just after is always a major problem.
(Sorry thread heading should read 12am)

Yep Venom is referring to the roads INSIDE THE CIRCUIT, so if your camping on Darion, Beausejour, Karting Nord, possibly Houx and Houx Annex, you can end up being being held up by the Rozzers under order to get other traffic out of the surrounding areas first
Venom also means after 12pm Sunday (ish).
If your parked outside the circuit perimeter in Parking Vert or Blue, you should be OK but it does get busy
