Converting large amount of sterling into euros?
Discussion
Can anyone recommend a reliable and trustworthy source to convert sterling into euros before the money is sent overseas to Spain
Got a friend who is buying an apartment in Malaga but the TT transfer from his Natwest account to the Spanish solicitor's account would be done at the horrendous bank exchange rate.
I'm told there are specialist FX businesses for just this kind of exchange but the downside is that you'd have to make sure you're working with a reputable firm to make sure they don't delay the payment whilst they use it to trade or worse run off with the money

Pre-advised essential maintenance on their site at the moment though. Look no further. You are right about the banks; their rate is bordering on the criminal.
Failing these guys, who are very good, there are dozens of FX companies you can use. Just not a High Street bank!
ETA....Money turn around should always be same day and by CHAPS payment.
