best 911 colour?

what do you think is the best colour on a 911?

Silver (because mine is!) but Gaurds Red on a 911 SC / impact bumber type is probably the most iconic, likewise the viper green on the GT3

It varies with the model. I loved GP White on my old SC, and think Meteor Grey is the best for a 997 Turbo. Black suits most models from the 964 onwards though.

If it had to be one colour then silver (as per evolution charts).

If I was picked by model:

911 3.2 Carrera in Silver
964 RS in Maritime Blue
993 C2 in Polar Silver
996 Turbo in Seal Grey
997 GT3 RS in Viper Green

Silver is the 996 colour. Dull as dishwater and bought by those concerned about residuals on their finance plans (I owned a silver one by the way!).

Silver is the new Lemming.

Black is good, but only when it's absolutely pristine. too often looks scruffy.

White or guards red but these are quite model sensitive.

My choice would be blue.
