Just a warning for those who don't already know. Clocks forward one hour, so getting up for the F1 is that little bit harder!

Woe betide anyone who catches the race an hour late, misses the fun of the start and gets to watch the remaining procession. wink

So does the pre-race coverage start at 6am BST then? or am I being a spanner?

Will the Sky box sort this out itself? Or do I need to record whatever is on 1 hour earlier!!!!

Im sure it messed some recordings up last time.

If you're recording it, Id record the programs either side of it too just to be safe, although IIRC the program starts an hour before the race so even if Sky doesnt work it out, you should still end up recording the race itself.

Yeah, confusingly the countdown on the BBC website is 1 hour less than Autosport and Planet F1's countdowns.
Lights go out in 10 hours

Program starts at 5:00. Surely BST, so the race will start at 6:00 BST. So preamble at 4:00, race at 5:00 GMT.

Hardly worth going to bed.

Good comment on the C4 news earlier - "Sleep faster!"

Make sure you don't have the morning radio on at news time, they have a habit of spoiling it for the late viewers.

Now I'm confused!

Race starts at 0700, BBC program starts at 0600. All times are BST. These are the "new times".

So basically if you go to bed and set the alarm you need to set it for 0500 to watch the build up....but what if my DAB radio alarm clock is too clever for me and wakes me up at 0500 BST, an hour early?!

AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

Your DAB radio will automatically set the clock to BST at 2am so setting your alarm for 6am will get you up at 6am just as the 1hr preamble starts, with the race starting 1hr later.

Well that's what I'm hoping anyway smile

That is confusing. Humax is showing the program running from 5:00 to 8:00.

Maybe it updates the times after the clocks change?

Formula 1: The Australian Grand PrixSunday 28 March
6:00am - 9:00am
BBC1
Jake Humphrey presents coverage of the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne, the second race of the 2010 Formula 1 season. The previous two races at Albert Park have been won by a Briton, with Jenson Button first across the line last year and Lewis Hamilton victorious in 2008. However, this year the British pair will also have to contend with returning legend Michael Schumacher, back in F1 after a three-year hiatus. With commentary from Jonathan Legard and Martin Brundle.
