Gearbox output seal is this how they look now ???

Had the gearbox quaifed,they fitted a new output seal and it looks like this :-


My old seal looked like this one

Is this a new updated type of seal and will it work with the original propshaft ? just want to check before it all goes back together.

Looks okay to me.. it's a std seal.. the one in the picture (old type) just has the metal showing... your new one has this metal ring also but it's rubber covered....
I'd say no problem..
