I need a desktop computer, any suggestions?
Discussion
I bought a laptop recently, cheapy Currys Advent unit, and I'm going to use that for work, so now I need a desktop for home use. I've got used to Windows 7 (pre-installed on the laptop) and I'd like a decent specification but I don't really do any power hungry stuff. It needs wifi for the router, apart from that no particular requirements. There's an HP on PCWorld at £349 which looks ok,

but any other suggestions are welcome
I've wondered about getting something made specially, so if any PHer does that stuff I'm listening (I'm in Aylesbury, Bucks, BTW)

Why can't you use the laptop for home as well ? then you could spend the money saved on an external drive to backup your laptop
. Perhaps creating a seperate login for home use ?
The PC from PCworld looks OK, just no screen so assume you have that covered; if you do need a desktop at home what is it going to be used for ? Surfing only or online gaming ?

The laptop's screen is only 15.4", and I prefer a larger one, plus I can actually leave the laptop at the workshop and not have to ferry it backwards and forwards 4 times a day (I go home for lunch).

It will just be used for the usual home stuff, no gaming, just surfing, photo processing, word processing, occasional viewer for CAD stuff (that needs a bit of power as you swing the model around). I'm thinking of getting a 23" monitor hence looking at base units only.
