Mucking about at college, we trimmed down some photo paper and stuck it in a Toyo 5x4 view camera. Using an effective ISO of 10, got these pictures (4sec exposure at f/16; scanned from the paper neg and tinted in photoshop):

Nice but the hoodie rather spoils the Victorian look!

The 'photo paper' you put in the camera - I guess that came out in negative and you reversed it in PS?

Yep. It wasn't really intended to look antique, but after I'd scanned and reversed it, it just cried out for it, really. Partly because the neg was somewhat over-exposed (I was pretty much guessing at the exposure): the sky ended up looking a bit dirty after all the levels and curves adjustments, so I decided to go for the 'distressed' look.

It raises the bizarre possibility of film folk loading their cameras not with film but with a long narrow strip of photo paper (suitably punched with sprocket holes), then processing it, scanning into PS and reversing... weird...

Cool idea, nicely executed. With a bit of practice I reckon you could get pretty good, certainly the development side must be a fair bit cheaper and easier too!
