Hi gents. Ive been a long time reader of this forum. But, never had the need to ask your advice untill today.

23 month ago after a lot of soul searching and saving up I went out and got my self a 45m Planet Ocean. To say I'm pleased with it would be a major understatment. the only time it comes off my wrist is when I'm asleep.

Now here's my problem. Twice in the time I've owened my watch. it's stopped running while it's been off my wrist. once a while back, the second about 5 week ago. Apart from those two occasions it keeps time well within COSE perameters.

My question to you lads is. Do I send my watch back to omega under the warranty. Or put it down to the niggles of having an automatic watch.

Thanx in advance Mark

Just to clarify, do you mean the watch has stopped running before the 48 hour power reserve of the movement?

My PO never makes it to 48 hours, 36 hours if I'm lucky.

My constellation had a nasty habit of stopping when it was supposed to wound. I only wear it occasionally but it lives on a winder. In the end I sent it back whilst under warranty and now its perfect and keeps excellent time.

Do you have a 24 month warranty ? If so get it back to them quickly, otherwise you might have to pay ! They'll take 6 weeks or more but it will come back looking like new, though they do not tell you what they have done if its an under warranty repair rolleyes

Hi Rogue,

The Planet Ocean has the co-axial movement, as such I'm sure these were (and are) sold with a 3 year warranty. That said, it should as mentioned have a power reserve of upto 45-48hrs.
