Does a tom tom 950 (uk model) do the business in Hawaii??

You'll need the USA maps on it probably.

Or buy the game Test Drive Unlimited and memorise the island.

Slightly delayed reply, but...

My UK purchased 930 worked faultlessly in; Hawaii, San Francisco and Florida. It came with all Europe maps, and North America (USA and Canada)

In fact I can't recommend it enough, I use it all round Europe with work. I have colleagues with alternatives, but mine never struggles - like theirs do.

Its pretty hard to get lost on Hawaii (Honolulu). It is only 85 sq miles.
