So after taking delivery, and a number of hours of prep, here it is

]

Washed with snow foam, shampoo with Swissvax, dried with microfibre towel, rub down each panel with Swissvax cleaner, hand wax with Swissvax best of show wax. (The neighbours must have thought I was mad rubbing each panel with my bare fingers and wax), each wheel taken off, cleaned inner arches and coated, washed wheels, Swissvax cleaned, waxed with autobahn and tyres coated, Swissvax autobahn each brake calliper. All glass polished.

Just got to protect the leather with Swissvax leather guard.

Ready to put some miles on it and enjoy. The ipod / Premium audio is great sound. It will get even better as the speakers and sub are run in.

Also having carbon splitter and defuser fitted after Easter.

Cheers,
Ian.

Gorgeous! Congratulations!

FWIW, the big mirrors are new for MY10, so the MY09 4.7s have the same mirrors used on the 4.3. Are the bigger mirrors due to new regulations? I find the original mirrors to be plenty big enough for visibility.

Looks amazing mate, fair play for taking the wheels off and waxing them.

Hope you enjoy.

Thanks guys and again to Francis for providing great advice for looking after and protecting the paintwork etc.

I understand the mirrors where increased in size due to new regulations, although I didn't have a problem with my older 4.3. I'm sure if there was a company who produced a door mirror in carbon the size of the older 4.3 mirror, that would be so cool, and would sell well to owners of 2009/10 onwards cars. It would look great too to balance the look of the carbon splitter and defuser for V12 owners and aftermarket V8V customers. Any takers.

Cheers,
Ian

very nice smile

..the more I see those sills/lights etc the more gets added to my wish list of mods ....but then I talk sense into myself before spending £10K on the car I have, and think I will continue saving for the V12V wink

Good lord that's gorgeous. Didn't notice the big mirrors - they're odd, aren't they?

as it happens I have the exact same car/spec as the OP except in Sportshift and am keen to change the mirrors to the MY09 versions. The current set look like they've been taken off a BMW X5. The problem with these after Market mirrors (above, vantage collection, paramount) is they require the old housing so will NOT fit the newer big bad man housing. Is there anyone out there with a solution. These mirrors are like a wart on Cindy Crawfords face
