Given the remarkable & coincidental arrival of Dr Foster during a last nights Chancellors debate thread can I make the suggestion to those who run the Mighty PH?

Perhaps that until the end of the election we don't allow newbies to post on the N,P & E forum? It would help stop the obvious Liarbour party trolling that now seems to be cropping up? And before anyone starts I would be saying the same thing about Conservative, BNP or Monster Looney trolls who turned up here as well. Its just that the Liarbour people seem especially keen on this method of winding everyone up.

I wouldn't normally condone censorship of any kind but its very boring, very obvious and a waste of everyones time.

No, keep them here where their message will fall on very stony ground; keep them away from fora where people might be daft enough to listen.

What a wonderful idea.

Free speech only if you agree with the content. No wonder this forum is widely regarded as a bastion of Toryboys and wannabe snobs.

If Labour supporters wish to come here and spout their drivel, fine, they will get their comeuppance.

Edited for typo.

PH is pro-freedom and liberal in it's outlook. Censorship is the antipathy of this place.

It does make me laugh. The very, very, VERY obvious noobs posting away.

You know that the Labour party is funding that, don't you? Turns out you have to pay people to spout this stuff but the oppo is largely prepared to do it for free! rofl

No way.

Let them come and post their inane, retarded, class bigotry and frankly laughable praise for the mendacious shower of ste currently holding office.
At least with the legions of Labour trolls infesting the message boards of the intermong in the vain hope of swaying the country's floating voters, the poorly dressed, scabrous and simple minded are not attempting to breed with their equally noisome partners in order to create a new order of thoroughly disgusting, ugly and intolerant little apparatchiks.

Does NPE inherit the same non-newbie posting rules from the Lounge?

No censorship for views held, that's for sure.
I like to read what I can only describe as 'state sponsored' people have to say, followed usually by a wry smile, as no 'normal' PH member (or member of the general public, for that matter) would use such wording as they do. They are like drones, and easily sussed - especially on this forum, which by and large, has a higher proportion of successful free thinking gents and ladies, who are not fooled as easily as others perhaps may be.

drone

You might be able to spot it without the clue but their first post is the only one so far to say that Darling did anything other than lose. (about half way down)

Are you insane? What an appallingly controlling left wing idea. Impose censorship and I'm out of here. For good.

Far far better to allow the paid/voluntary lefties to post away and make mincemeat of them. They're so easy to dissect it's ridiculous.

Talking of which, any sign of Racingdude recently? What worries me most about him is not his support of Labour, but how someone so utterly free from original thought, devoid of even a modicum of intelligence and with a complete inability to construct and express a cogent arguement should think themselves worthy of standing as a parliamentary candidate. Surely even Labour can do better than him?

That one was very obvious though theres no reason to ban them. An opposing point of view is always interesting but would be better if it was more informed than "Darling is our great and glorious leader and should be worshipped, the others were rubbish". Unfortunately banning all new members will remove everyone new from the debate so taking all comers is the way it needs to be.

No. Let them.

Violated,
Doctor Foster,
Duke of Rothesay.

All welcome, share your views, no matter if they are left, right, dumb or clever, we shouldn't be banning them. I'm not saying that a 2 week wait before they can post in N,P&E wouldn't be a bad idea to deter trolls with no patience... But outright banning goes against everything that PH stands for.

Guys, something that might boil your piss, if you think that they are "partly sponsored by the Labour party" just think, they probably got given the laptop and free internet access to do it. hehe

Some of them are salaried. No, that is not the stuff of the tinfoil hat brigade. The web is a powerful force in politics these days and, it turns out, that the Right has been more successful in annexing it for their use. Quite understandably the Left is trying to do the same.

But the whole "forum infiltration" thing is simply hilarious. It just can't work.

We should play them at their own game.

When an obvious Troll pops in, we should make an effort to look affronted, then slowly come round to their way of thinking.

They will think they have done a good job and bugger off, feed the news back to the Kremlin that they have a new bunch of comrades to carry the party message and they'll become complacent etc...

I think mods should check their IP's and see if they lead back to anywhere of note, ie, Labour, and if they do publicise this fact.
