Basically going to have a go at improving the scratches/marks in the photos above. Is there a right and wrong way to use t-cut as I don't want to make the paintwork even worse.

Dry or wet cloth?
Do you wipe it off with another cloth straight away?

Any must not do's?

Quite simply Don't use it ever. Repost this question on the detailing section for a much more informed discussion.

You need a hell of a lot more than T-Cut to make that look good, speak to your local smart repair man or paintless dent people.

Simple!

First take 'T-cut' and place in here:-

Then wash car, clay bar then a good quality polish to remove scratches.

Or,

contact a detailer.

Or,

contact one of those 'chipsaway' type companies!

Yeah but I just wanted to get rid of as much of the black mark as possible for time being. Was going to get chips away around to sort it all but I've been told to avoid them. It's going in for its second service on Friday so will get a quote from FIAT which will probably be extortionate

Try heating up the area with a hot hair dryer then immediately use a plumbers freezer spray on the centre of the dent. This should make the dent pop out!

Does that really work? I've heard similar involving dry-ice, but also heard that it's a myth.

Any photos? (Or, even better, videos?)

Didn't do much for the small ding on the right of his panel!

Get the dent looked at by one of the paintless dent removal specialists (PDR) first.
