Hi,

I've a few scratches on a car I'm picking up tomorrow that I'd like to rectify. Some are around a centimeter long and I fit my nail in it, so I feel it's relatively deep.

I'm passing www.clean-image.co.uk on my way home to get a quote - their work seems pretty good judging from their testimonials etc.

My other though is to post a few pictures on a detailing website, such as www.detailingworld.co.uk and see if anyone is up for taking on the work? Some of the repairs and details I've seen there are amazing. What do you think? Anyone done this before? I'm in the Hemel Hempstead area if you know of anyone.

Cheers

Hi,

Thanks for that. Just spoken to them, but they do not do "adding paint" so they'd be unable to touch it up.

However, they did say that use a company called Barkway Service Station, who'd be able to do the work.

Hi Thanks for the call earlier,

Just to clarify, we can touch it up then flat and polish the area however this is unlikely to provide a perfect finish, it provides a decent enough repair on small areas out of the line of sight (ie a scratch maybe 2-3cm on a lower splitter etc) then it would usually do the job but if it did require proper bodyshop attention id recommend it then be sent to the body shop i personally use (i only recommend people i know & trust to do a good job).

As i said, when you get the car drop by and we can take a look, its not going to cost you anything for us to have a look but i cant really tell you if its within our scope without seeing the car.

Regards

James

To be fair, the 'other company' sorted the imperfection, although it's not 100%, it's near enough. And for £15 I certainly can't moan.

They were very honest with what was and wasn't achievable in terms of improvements. All the feedback on here was positive too.

That said, I'd definitely be happy to use either KDS or Auto Finesse if I want 100% rectification in the future.
