exhaust manifold sealant

I couldn't find any information from the 'search' function. I have the manifolds off to get welded. I know gaskets aren't used, but is there any sealant that I should use? It has been leaking from the corners that don't have the bolts.

On my SP6 Cerbera I used a sealant for turbo chargers, used to seal between the exhaust and the turbo. I do not know what kind of stuff it was, I got in a can from a engine rebuilder, but it works fine.

the tvr parts suppliers sell a loctite stuff that comes in a black caulking gun thing. Go light on it though, using it killed my lamdas (the silicon in sealant kills the sensors).

The stuff I used was red and was good upto 350 dig and sensor frendly,will look to see who made it.

I used the black Loctite gasket stuff, got it from Halfords for about £5, its only a small tube but there is more than enough.

Isn't this the same sort of sealant that you use on the cam covers?

I need to seal these back up and put the headers back on...was thinking that one tube fits all so to speak?

I've used this many times - works very well and is sensor safe. Do a google search for the best prices though.
