Find it difficult to watch crimewatch on TV

Don't know if it's just me,last night me & mrs VRS are watching crimewatch and i was really finding it hard to watch.
I think i'm putting myself in the victims shoes etc when watching a reconstruction,especially last night there was a young girl attacked and assualted in her own home in one paticular case.
I don't know whether its utter shock in the way one human being can behave in such a sickening way to another person ie murder/rape etc or whether I was thinking what would i do if i was the victim each time,but i was really feeling quite uneasy thinking how this young girl must have been in such sheer terror.
maybe i'm just a big softie hoping nothing like this goes on.
does anyone else find it difficult dealing with these scenarios shown?
