Whilst popping in to my local TVR specialist in Needham Market, Suffolk to see how work on my Wedge was progressing (basically very, very slowly!!!) I saw J1 SEAC (Red 460 SEAC I believe) was still forlornly sitting in the corner of their workshop looking all lonely and neglected. I seem to recall that it has been their for some considerable time now, possibly since before Christmas and was just curious as to what the car was having done and why it was taking so, so long,

Keith,

Very bizzarely, I saw your post come up when I did a search at a friends house last night (using Apple rather than my PC) for the first time.

The car belonged to me at the time (I sold it a couple of month ago).

I was having problems with an engine misfire over about 3,500 revs and Kerridges were trying to find the source of the problem.

I have to admit that two years on and several gararges later, no one was able to find the cause of the problem and earlier this year, I finally admitted defeat and sold the car chearp to another wedge enthusiast, who felt confident that with his 390 as a donner car, he could swap parts around to try and narrow down what was causing the problem and hence rectify it once and for all.

It had always been my dream to own a SEAC and sadly I don't feel I ever got the true pleasure of owning such a wonderful car. However my concourse V8S and my Griff 4.3BV that I have owned now for 18 years will keep me going, so I can't complain too much.

Hope you see this reponse, given it is quite a while since the original post....
