Couldnt decide whether to sell her or not - SOOO just to be sure I've just fitted new spax adjustables + original TVR S springs, well what the hell!. They all from from David Gerald - excellent next day delivery. Fitted em OK - although rears a bit fiddly. Must be the old rusted nuts, the old'ns were original (15 yrs Old now )

But what a difference, tis a new car, I've never GRINNED so much, so I'm definately keeping her for the summer now - and I've only set them on the median level

I've heard alot of bad press (in this forum) has been given to SPAX and AVO, but I figured Im not a professional, and that I'm never going to attain their max performance, so should be OK for a plodder like me.

Can let you have details if anyones interested.

Yeah I also put spax adjustables and new springs on mine and spookily I also got them from David Geralds. Only replaced the front ones though. I used fully adjustable shocks, adjustable ror rate and height. It really has transformed the car. Handling much improved and as an added benefit I don't ground out on sleeping policemen now! The springs cost £57.20 plus vat and the shocks £87.50. Worth it though in my opinion. The car seems much more balanced on the road now.

Did you use your orignal springs or did you get new ones?

How easy was it to get the springs on/off - what type of spring compressor did you use?

Sorry about all the questions!

Woody,
The springs were new ones, but I guess original TVR stock. Fitting was a breeze, David Gerald made them up before dispatching, so fitting was as easy as unbolting top and bottom bolts and slotting the new setup straight in - took about 2 hrs (but had some trouble with the rear nuts being pretty well seized).

Suggest that you get hold of a torque wrench though, as over tightening the nuts isnt such a good idea. Full instructions come with the Spax adjustables.

Cost 619 quid inc VAT and postage.
