SMCS 18th July - Who's Game?

Hi there guys.

Now that ive got everything sorted (well almost, bloody BT grrrr) im contemplating getting another stand together for the Scottish Modified Car Show.

Last year I organised a stand which was a conjunction of my forum (currently under going a refurb and relaunch) and friends cars from up and down the UK.

I have been swithering whether or not to do the stand again this year due to all my difficulties and a lack of cash in general atm but if i can get a good group of cars together i dont see why not.

Hopefully get a good mix, Elliot's Henson & Rail with any luck and some exotics, track cars, etc.

Yeh sounds like a good idea. Try to get a bigger stand this year. Hensen is undergoing a bit of a refurb and retrim and will be looking by then. Hopefully no MOT panics this year!!

I can't for the life of my understand why there would be two big shows in scotland on the same date. Bad planning lol.

No spare ferrari's, lambo's or corvettes kicking around that weekend then?

To be fair Fraser, the Modified Car Show is perceived to be (perhaps wrongly) more about the lurid paintwork, ultra lowered, huge sound system type of car with a driver who can only be identified by the top of his baseball cap visible throughg the windscreen.

I know exactly where you are coming from with that. Thats why I try and do my stand completely differently and find the best I can from all communities bar the large bodykit coundsystem community lol.

Ah getting you excited is something I do well Just wait till July!!

I did attend the SM show ONCE back in 2006. My car looked out of place

The only entertainment I got was some muppet trying to show me what he was made of in a Civic, poor bu66er should have paid more attention to the road and not me or he would have clocked the unmarked tailing me.

I know the SMC is on and the RS owners club are running the bigger of their two Scottish dates at Knockhill that day too.
Is there something else on for the prestige boys?

Was really wanting to get the rail along to the show this year, and the hensen is getting a makeover and will be mint too.
Frasers stand last year was all about giving the 'barry bodykit boys' something to aspire to in the future.

We could all probably club a few forums together and actually put on a better show ourselves ££££.

Its clear what Fraser was trying(succeeding!)in doing and I think it would be a plan to do this in 2011, if Fraser is willing? We just need to make sure our little event doesn't clash!

Keep your eyes peeled for a 2 day event at the SECC, manufacturers, tuning houses, owners clubs, demonstrations etc. All owners clubs are invite only but im organising this for 2011.
