I don't think it is Fia approved though, But then again neither is the rest of the car

I am just an impoverished soul building a car to have some fun in.
Note the tank is bolted and strapped, pumps and filter behind the tank. tank needs to be foam filled with yellow tank foam i haven't finalised what I am doing with the filler yet.
The words Vixen and Fia dont go together? Grantura and Fia or griffith and fia perhaps!!
The bulkhead frame is very light aluminium angle, pop riveted together and bonded in / sealed with sikaflex (PU7 seam sealer) the paneling has been creased to prevent drumming and is fastened down with M6 button heads through rivnuts. Everything will be powder coated matt black so no reflections in the rear view mirror.
The addition of a very expensive Fia approved and 5 year certified fuel cell would make this install Fia compliant.

Nice install!
I crunched the numbers and the capacity (not including a material thickness deduction) for the MFGR. given dimensions total 14 Gal US or 11.7 Gal Imp.

That equates to approx 54 litres which at an estimated 1 litre per minute consumption during races will for me be more than enough for 20 and 40 min races which the car is being built for.I crunched the numbers and the capacity (not including a material thickness deduction) for the MFGR. given dimensions total 14 Gal US or 11.7 Gal Imp.

I will be in the same position as virgin F1 for 1 hr endurance races

Similar to mine however I need a bigger tank for the Grantura - current one is 40L which won't last long with my leaden right foot. Any suggestions - I was going to have a custom one in ali as per my MGB. I need at least 2hrs running time for Spa and ADAC
BTW my fuel consumption in my MGB is approching 1 litre per minute and you'll have twice the capacity and cylinders and twice the power. I use 40L per hour at Spa on full tanks and nearer 45L when fast and light. Admittedly its heavy but...
I may have the 'old one' (4 years) going spare very soon

Try these Richard. 2Hrs is going to be a bloody big tank, especially shoehorned into a MK3 rear end?? It may well be that you have to go 100% custom fabricated. i still need to foam fill mine in such a way that the sender unit works. I think I am going to switch to an angled fuel filler as well with a flush fit cap on the rear wing If I have enough height.
I take it your existing is an ATL cell?
My little bent 8 is in relatively mild spec, probably about 285 - 295hp so I reckon 1 litre per min will be about right for its consumption.
