Looking for some help here. I travel overseas most weeks, mostly Middle East but also Africa and Europe. I had a Vodafone contract, unlimited minutes and BB for about £100 a month plus passport for cheaper calls in the relevant countries. Bill was coming in at about £300 or £400 a month. I cut this down to a minimum contract of about £50 a month as I was hardly using any of my UK allowance but my monthly bills are still rising (£681 this month).
Any ideas of teh best way to go about this? I dont really want to get a SIM for each Country I visit and I need BB access anyway.

HELP!

Would an Estonian or Lichtenstein sim work, as there are no roaming fees?

Can hardly walk around with my laptop open all day. I also receive a lot of calls, I use VOIP as much as I can for planned calls to family etc but for business calls when I am in Country its mostly ad-hoc.

If you are a regular visitor to the country buy a local SIM card. I am based in Egypt and work in the Emirates, Saudi and Syria. I have a SIM for each country. Just let people know where you will be and the number they can get you on. Keep the VOIP for your planned international calls, although Dubai are arsey about Skype. Local rates in the ME are very cheap.

How about a multi-sim phone?

I have one with space for 2 sims and I have heard that there are phones that will accpet 3 sims at the same time all working at the same time if you wish!
