my mum has a 2006 ford ka, she drove to work yesterday then drove to the super market at lunch, when she went to leave, the car would not start it still has power but all the dials on the dash where flickering, but it will all dissapear when it is jump started and it will start first time. it needed another jump start to get home, i had a look at it this morning and it is still the same the battery has power, the dial will flicker the lights on the dash flicker on and off and the starter spins at a very low speed, im rubbish at eletrical faults, i can do anything with spanners lol, im pretty much stumped with this one, any help would be appretiated.

cheers Paul

Ps sorry about the spelling

It sounds like a loose or rusted connection somewhere.

Check the battery connectors are on tight.

If its running ok once its started then I guess the alternator is ok.
