Finally lost the bap and bought a new phone to replace my iPhone 3G. Crashy, touch screen gone wrong again, and iTunes is a nightmare.

Just awaiting the delivery of my new Nokia X6, hopefully it'll suck much less than the iPhone.

Luke.

Does it have a proper touch screen like the glorious iPhone or a cheap nasty one like other imposters?

...considering one of his main gripes was the touch screen being poo on his one I don't see him caring too much about the exact technology and how well it operates. Just so long as it does actually operate....

I dont know, but my N900 has both and neither are bad.
I hated the iPhone when I tried it in store and it almost put me off touch screens, but I find the Nokia better. If the X6 is similar then theres no issue.

BTW how are you finding the n900 as am seriously considering it to replace my n97 in the coming months. I hear there are few apps available yet for it but other than that not heard anything about it having crashing issues etc?

To be fair, he said it had gone wrong, he didn't say it was crap.

I think a lot of the gripes with the iPhones come from people who maybe use them in environments they don't like. Screens getting damaged etc.
Also, people saying itunes is st... it's not, you just have to work out how to get the best out of it and use it properly. There's nothing wrong with it.

I love my N900. Have got most of the apps I had/needed on Android. The ones I don't have, I don't miss. Browsing is fantastic with the built in browser or Firefox, multitasking is awesome and I have had about 30 apps running at once and it shows thumbnails of running apps and you can see them updating in realtime. I have had no issues with stability at all and the community is great, www.maemo.org

Turn Wifi, bluetooth and 3G off when you don't need them and it'll last nearly three days. Mine does. And that with using apps and texting every day too.

wink
