I saw this on Lateral G.... I guy is putting a Corvette drivetrain under a Porsche 356.

Check it this simple tool for holding pipes while you tack weld!

Ah, compliments of the day to you.

Very funny crafty, i’m not falling for that one.
You would never get it off after you had tack welded it.

BTW, iv got an unused left handed snach reamer hear, you welcome to use it if it will help with your build.

Used something similar, just cut the same size tube in half after a hole saw with a 1" bit fitted had made three hole on the outside of the pipe.

The only thing that you have to do is completely loosen the hose clamps.

His idea of fixing the clamps to the sleeve is great, much less of a hand full.

Surely the idea is to tack weld through the hole, then slide the clamp along the pipe or remove the clips and take it off?

I think ezakimak thought (wrongly) that it was an April Fool's joke..... smile
