The missus had a couple of drinks a few hours ago, we went to bed at 12.30.

Once asleep, I noticed she was snoring in my general direction, I glanced at the clock and had a brainwave. Like a fox I updated every clock including her phone to show 6:45am, got back in bed in time for the morning alarm to go off smile

Mrs JDM: "God, I feel like st, I feel like I haven't slept"
Me: "Tell me about it, you were out of it last night, that'll teach you for drinking to the point you kept me up with your snoring.."

So, after hitting the snooze for a further 10 minutes (where she managed to fall back to sleep) the alarm went off again and I got up, making her a cup of coffee. Caffeine will keep her awake after this is all over, giving me enough time to fall asleep. I allowed her to do her make up and get dressed for work, straighten hair etc. She kept questioning why it was dark, I explained about the clocks going forward etc, excellent quick response, back to the kitchen I went sniggering.

She got a little suspicious when putting on freeview and the morning music channels were not on, I had by this point, removed the aerial connection because I was under the impression this is where the freeview box obtained the time from (this was the eventual downfall). She dialled the speaking clock 3 times and said "what on earth is one twelve exactly?".. She called it 3 times which led to more confusion. Eventually she triggered when I told her to read the time and the date very carefully.

Cue the M.

So, at this point, she hasn't seen funny side - I got back into bed sniggering like a school boy, hearing "I've had no sleep, not even had a chance to be hungover, I feel like st, never do that again, now I can't get back to sleep." Was it worth it? Oh yes.

The original plan was that I was going to wait until she drove out of town and give her a call, but 2 problems there, 1 she might not answer her phone, 2 she was probably still over the drink limit frown

She's asleep again, might as well make the most of it, what next?

Ps I won't wake her up again, running in screaming seemed like a good idea, best not

Gutted, clingfilm won't stick to the door frame. Would have quite literally walked right into that one frown

Write a banner and hang it in the living room.

Make it say something like "thanks for ruining my life"
