It can go for days without her speaking to me sometimes, and I seem to be the one to try and make amends 9/10 irrespective of blame or fault.

So how do you resolve fights with you missus? All top tips welcome.

Taking control of the couch and remote control will definitely break the silence sooner than later. For sheer spite, cancel any series-linked shows she has on sky plus and pretend not to know anything about it.

Speak loudly and jovially to friends on the phone. Just basically carry on as normal but twice as cheerfully. As if life has never been so good since she decided to shut her cake-hole. They cant wait to fk that up by opening it again.

Leaver her. That should cheer her up.

Or at least tell her your considering leaving her as you're clearly making her life a complete misery. It might help her reflect on her childish behaviour. If that doesn't work, stop the cock.

Ask her what's wrong. When she replies "nothing" in a huffy voice, immediately thank her, and carry on in a happy jovial fashion, because nothing is wrong.
It may take a day or two, but the volcanic eruption that will finally surface will eventually get you an answer to your question.
Don't get sucked into the "if you loved me, you would know" bks. If she starts down that route, ignore her.
They can't be reasoned with, don't try hehe

I doubt this will help, but not much does it seems?

Why would you want to resolve it? If someone is so childish that they refuse to speak to you on a regular basis (no matter who's fault it is) I'd be packing my bag and walking.

Tell her to grow up, and stop being an arse!

Don't marry 10 year old girls.

PS Thanks for posting this thread. I was feeling sorry for myself being single etc but suddenly I'm pleased I'm single again.

rofl I should imagine that isn't too bad. The bleeding would stop quickly and after a few weeks the pain would have subsided.

I am still refining the approach after about ten years together (yeah, that's a problem, not being able to remember).

Phase 1: enjoy the silence and freedom.
Phase 2: start doing considerate things (washing up, making dinner etc). Do not attempt conversation or react negatively if you don't get thanks or an apology.
Phase 3: wait for the approach, listen to her blathering on for a bit, make sympathetic noises, make up.

At no stage is it really necessary to apologise. You probably haven't done anything wrong.

Before I perfected this woman management process it would take days to resolve squabbles, and we'd end up having no idea what started it. Now I get through the whole thing in a couple of hours, usually with an apology before lights out.

Far too high maintenance for me. Get yourself someone you can spend time with properly.
