With expansion I`m looking for some who has the ability to strip and build engines gearboxes and diffs, someone with the ability and skill to work without supervision, to tight deadlines.
Maybe even assistance with running workshop.
An experienced stores person is also needed, someone who can build up the parts dept as a business within a business, looking after the workshop parts ordering and suppplying the guys and running an net shop? we are established Jaguar specialists, so please respond directly to me,thanks

Would love to apply for the parts job, but the commute would be a struggle, and dont have funds to relocate (as tempting as it is to get away from here!)

I doubt the type of person you are looking for would be claiming benefits.

Agreed , but only one applicant so far.Amazing in view of the current climate.
Jag racer I don`t think there are many of us old farts left who really want to work. or have the expertise.

It's not that we don't want to work, I still get up at 3.45AM six days a week to go to work but why would someone who is skilled and in work want to change. The other problem is that looking at your website, younger mechanics or engineers wouldn't be able to manage working on older cars. One or two hot shot mechanics I know tend to phone me up every time they get anything older than 1980 through the doors because they can't plug a computer into them. laugh

Guys/ girls loads of trouble with the server an BT at present. If you email me you may not get a response. I have had a girl/ temp but she will be going at the end of the month. I have recieved only one applcation so far and I am at the end of the telephone,(I`m also my whit`s end) 07725578729 leave a message, ill get back to you. Experience in the motortrade would be a great help, but organisational skills and computer knowledge are essential. The role will include customer facing and helping with workshop loading working in the workshop. Itr really is a pivotal role.Stores would need sorting and some basic sage training would be given for the right applicant. So you see it`s quite a braod encompassing role. Business got bad before Christmas, I` don`t mind admitting but now it is booming. 8 E types in at present, 33 cars on the go. My staff are in today at 7.00am to help clear the backlog. We work as a team so a non team player would quickly show up. I`ve had 14 front of house people,in the last 7 years, yet my main workshop team have been with me for the 7 years.
