I am working from home this week and up until last night, my work laptop was able to connect to my home wireless network fine.

Today it is taking ages to get an ip address, and when it does eventually connect it complains of limited or no connectivity.

I have 2 netbooks, 1 nettop and 1 laptop as well as an iPhone that can all still connect fine.

Is it merely coincidence that I had 2 windows updates on my work lappy yesterday???

I have disabled/enabled wireless, reset the WPA key, etc. but still no luck.

For the timebeing I have unplugged the LAN cable from my xbox and I am running hardwired but I need to work on 2 laptops next week so wireless and upstairs at the larger desk would be better than the current setup.

Anyone else had issues?

Is there any way to track what windows updates were applied and maybe roll them back?

Cheers guys,
Steven

You could try System Restore from Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools

If it works, you can roll back the Windows Updates and it has a nice calendar showing what was installed and when. This only rolls back Windows, not any data files you created.

it probably hasn't got an real ip addresss (similar to the ones your other devices have). that is why it is limited connectivity
Have you rebooted the wireless access point/router? I have seen netgears be a bit fussy dishing out ip addresses and areboot fixes it
