Has anyone succesfully managed to connect a netbook (Samsung N210) in this case running Windows 7 to a 3GS Iphone via bluetooth?

I keep on being told peripheral driver missing, but can't find one anywhere, tried installing itunes, but that still does not fix it.

Any thoughs welcomed?

What are you trying to do via bluetooth?

Ideally I want to be able to use the tethering function, using the Iphone to provide internet access. I have it working perfectly on my XP laptop....

Me too and it works flawlessly every time. Why would you need to do it via bluetooth which just introduces another level of variables?

I always assumed you couldnt use the iphone 3GS as a modem but only because I had one for 30 minutes then found it couldnt communicate via bluetooth data to my tomtom satnav (it could only make calls) so I had to send it back and go back to my old Nokia phone.

Why would I want to use bluetooth rather than the cable? one less cable to remember to carry around and far simplier having the iphone in a pocket rather than sitting on the desk in front of you attached by a cable.....

Not a major issue, just frustrating that I cannot get it to work!

Or jailbreak it & use MyWi...

Then you can use your iPhone's 3G for your netbook via cable, bluetooth, or WiFi.
