Hi Simon
Have you been drinking you are taking most of the parts of your car and putting them in the bin
You have put a lot of work in to this I can see, can you help me understand what are you getting out,
performance ?
reliability ?
both of the above ?
or just that you can ? (as I know that I couldn't, respect.............)

Ed,
The oil pump drive is just a cut down dizzy with some form of plastic plug stuck over the gubbins, I intend to get hold of an old dizzy and do something similar. It would look better with an Alli cap or something, I've not got this far but I presume you would need to arrange something to stop the shaft falling out if / when you had to extract the remains of the dizzy.
Why did I do it ?
1. I have always been disappointed with the wedges low speed running / flexibility compared to my last car fitted with a weber DCOE fed 4 pot fitted with Dunnel 3D ignition management. I found that if I use more static advance its much better, but then pinks at full load as I'm a Yorkshireman and feed it 95RON fuel. The advantage of the MJ is I can run whatever advance the engine needs to see to get the best out of it. This should also increase the mid range torque, the spark is also greatly improved which should give a more complete burn
2. It should improve reliability as the OPUS system is no longer connected and the bodged wiring that went with it has also gone in the bin. It's just the rest of the car that I have to worry about !
3. Extra features - Rev limiter, Shift lights, dual maps, Tacho output that's compatible with my innovate wideband
4. Finally and as suggested, simply because I can. There can't be many wedges with a pair of coil packs attached to the side of their plenum !
You are probably correct about the cost, I think all in there's about £200 but I never was keen on cycling.
In some ways it's a shame to cover these up !
