Ford D Series Recovery

Partners Dad is into his wagon, tractors etc, owns his own commercial buisness, does all hgv's band buses for tours etc, this is his latest projest to take to the show this year, received it yesterday, Ford D series recovery, absoloutly imaculate low miler has been in a shed for many years and was repossesed, just down the passenger side of the wagon the paint is faded and peeling on the body, its going for paint soon (blue)

This is also his 1972 ERF he done, the body now has what looks like a load on the back with sheet, but underneath is a 6 berth caravan he uses at the shows, you cant even tell whats underneath, its also now for sale.

He also has somthing that intrests me around the back, very tempted to do it up and make it road legal, has log book etc, and only 65k original miles, would be nice with a engine transplant, also with the garage based on the coast its excellent for going on the beach and banks etc

that D series was the first truck type I drove, cold start extra fuel lever behind drop down grille at front at least his has a radio in to while away the miles.



on the suzuki, what engine size would that be?

I seem to remember them recovering my skip truck once from the Catford one way system.

this came from essex, raleigh, from a commercial salvage place, it was a reposesion been in a shed for years

Something different, love seeing these old lorries that I remember trundling around in my youth, seems a shame that we've most of the independent operators with their immaculately kept hand-painted liveries and coachwork.
