Well done to the two Garys, Shaun & Tom (i.e. two solitary Radicals) for single-handedly upholding the honour of the BEB (Bike Engined Brigade).
The fastest lap of the GK/TA Radical (within a cat's whisker of the fastest lap of the fastest CNA Class Runner, on a circuit where outright power really matters) shows just what a supremely effective bit of kit the PR6 is in skilled hands - not the most sophisticated car around, but inarguably extremely tough and very effective.

I was there, for day one – helping Gary and Shaun not set fire to themselves during their pit-stop – and jolly good it was too.
Yes, the numbers were disappointing but, hopefully, now it’s been proven that bike engined cars don’t turn into pumpkins after 40 minutes; do (easily) have the fuel tank capacity to run to their pitstop; needn’t cost a fortune to run in this high profile format; and can give the Ligiers, Normas, and the like, a serious run for their money; there’ll be lots more BECS to follow.
As JP says, we’ll be pairing up to do the next round (Brands GP 23 May) with the Speads, so it’d be good to see some more familiar faces and cars.
Naturally, the views expressed herein do not necessarily reflect the views of the management. Other race series are available.
