Are you asking a genuine question, or using it to make a statement?

Clay bars cost from about 7 GBP up to 25 GBP, depending on type, manufacturer and weight. Blue Tac is a different formula despite its superficial resemblance and lacks the correct grade of polishing media (generally a micronised clay/chalk). Whilst it may do something, it will not remove embedded contamination as effectively as proper clay.

Be careful when choosing the density or aggressiveness of your clay, also use a good lubricant unless buying Bilt Hamber which requires water and keep your clay warm before and during use, either by turning it or by putting in warm water before moulding.

In non-technical English, clay bars are different from Blue Tac and Blue Tac won't work as well.

(Even though you would hope they were similar as Blue Tac is a lot cheaper).
