Curing rattles.
Discussion
Is it just me, are most rattles caused by seemingly minor inconsequential things ? I've just discovered that the scary clonks and rattles coming from the back of my 944 were caused by the original damper bolts.
Admitedley they should have been replaced along with the new dampers I fitted 6 months ago, I assume they must have stretched ? Anyhoo new ones fited, torqued up properly and no more rattles.
Mind you I'm still getting some squeeks from the rear, I wonder if I should have greased the shafts of the bolts ?
Can't be asked to take them off again just to grease them.
Note to self, always replace suspension bolts during reassembly !
