Defender fuel gauge.

Yippee, I've just finished fixing the fuel gauge on my 1991 Defender 90 200 TDi. Apparently it is a common fault and is supposedly caused by the relay behind the dashboard failing. However, I found that there is a wiring multi-connector under the dashboard on the bulkhead (near the brake reservoir) and the wire from the fuel tank is pushed into this on a bullet connector - and can easily be pulled out when doing other jobs. I has to remove the instrument panel to run a continuity check and clean some mud off as all wires were brown!! Thought this might help some fellow owners having the same problem.
