Well, none of my left hand indicators were working, so I've taken off the front indicator, drained all the water out rolleyes, twiddled the bulb, and now we have front and side working.

I've changed the bulb in the back...though old one actually looked ok, and still no working back indicator. Other lights on cluster work.

As I'm HOPELESS with wiring, is there a fuse for just the back indicator (where on S2 390), or is it going to be something bloody annoying like a poor earth ?

Any help appreciated. smile

Oh, and just discovered a blinkin great big functioning Alpine amp in the boot.biggrin

You need a multimeter Graham so you can check voltage on terminals,or sure you aint just tried dodgy bulubs,

Cheers John. smile

Multimeter ? Wouldn't have a clue what to do with one...only understand spanners. frown

The bulbs I substituted were new, and correct type.

Just been down for a tail light one, as one of the two in the light cluster was also US.

Gawd I hate electrical things...should be so easy, but never is.irked

Graham,
The earthing studs on mine (same model as yours) for the rear lights are on each of the rear suspesion turrets facing forward. Only the Left hand one is used on mine. Have a feel behind each wheel to see if there is a wire connected a yours may be different.
Probably have to take the rear wheel off for access to it for cleaning up.
Hope this helps.

Dave.

I have a few problems with rear cluster on my 350, fixed some by cleaning up the copper track with pen knife and wd40 where the bulb clips and loom connector contacts and a bit of multimeter work, but still had one bulb not working taking a closer look a track had corroded away (boot was a little wet) fixed this by bridging with solder

Well, I've done a little more careful twiddling...cos I refuse to be beat !

I discovered that when I twiddled the copper springclip wotsit that clips over the circuit board type thing on the cluster, by the lamp holder, the lamp worked ! biggrin

Gawd I hate not being able to fix things myself...when I'm on hols and plenty of my cheap time. irked

Thanks all. thumbup

Good effort, sounds like a bit of oxidation.

Get a multimeter, it's not as hard as you think... smile

Hi Ian! smile

Yes, maybe should get myself into the 21st century, after all I did build this computer...so possibly I could cope. scratchchin

Wow, the meet in Malton this morning was out of this world, and even my humble 390 got a lot of attention....even more when I exited in a full bore wheel-spinning tail-wagging V8 screaming banshee of exuberance. Well, you're only young once. biggrin

(This particular 390 is pretty damned quick.)

Several Wedges there.

Take a look over here, last couple of pages:
