You could try www.minfinity.co.uk.

Or www.minicitymag.com

There are a couple of Yahoo groups if you can put up with the adverts.......

Don't forget our own Miniman's site.
I didn't think much of that MiniCityMag site. It seems a bit childish (I'm showing my age again!)
Couldn't get into the other you mentioned, Phil, it seemed unavailable. The ime.org site is quite good, though.
Still, you do meet a lot of very nice people on this forum!
Welcome gtrclive.

Minifinity does seem to suffer with childishness as well.

I signed up as soon as they split from the old Mini Heritage/Sumpnutz forum.

You cant beat a bit of PH

So whats it to be then Clive? The Ultima engine in a Mini something of that ilk?

I came here from www.miniclassic.co.uk

There's some colourful characters, and there can be useful info, but there are a lot of ill-informed opinions and stuff that just doesn't need to be there IMHO.

I'm selling my GTR to fund a Lola T70 MKIII B, with a 600bhp 7 Litre Chevy, but have to build a few other cars first for customers. While I'm building them I fancy building a fun car as a runabout, and have got realy serious about a Turbo Bike engined Z Cars Mini.
Parts are so cheap, and don't think it would take much time to build. Just another car on my Must have list...... 300bhp in 575kgs, that has got to fun......

Will have to go to some Mini shows this year, so please keep me posted as am new to this seen..

Cheers

Clive

Well you are in good company here then Clive!

PH'er Sacha who calls in occasionally has just finished an R1 Z cars conversion, pics are about, I'll dig them out.

I am about to start an NA Busa Z Cars project after toying with the VTEC route I have decided that a lightweight nutter kart would be more fun and Matt Fox who has the first twin engined R1 Mini from Z cars (up for sale in the classifieds) lurks and posts occasionally!

So there you go, PH wins again!

Sorry to hear you don't like our site. It's just been updated and is now an online magazine full of interesting information, we're currently completing our online maintenance manual, and photopedia of the History of the Mini, and we're adding streaming video shortly of Mini sports events.

Our forum may be a bit too friendly and laid back for some, I'm assuming it's the forum you consider childish.

But we do have members of all ages, from 16 to 60+.

Hope you drop by and take another look, because feedback is important to us.
