cheap helmet for a few outings

Hi there,

Just after a bit of advice regarding a helmet for a few laps of the ring...

Am i right in saying that it's OK to use a bike helmet inside a car?

Also as I'm not going to be using it so often, I just want something cheap and cheerful such as:

I know somebody is going to say your head is worth more than a cheap helmet, but if they are all approved and fit OK can you go wrong?

There is a lot of cheap "slightly used" helmets about at the moment. This is due to the MSA regs changing. These are good for trackdays. Infact I might have some for sale as it happens

eary now and then Lidl sell open and full face helmets for £19.99 - 24.99, before you all laugh, they are ACU Gold spec and very good quality.
