Lights probably just electrical gremlins.

The creak from the back could be shot strut top mounts (rubber bush thingummies on these I think). Apparently the ones on my 318i (2001) are nearing the end of their life but not worth doing just yet. The saloon is easier to fix than the touring as less gubbins in the way when you try to get at them, but cheap enough in themselves I gather.

From the symptoms you've described about your coolant light, I would pretty much guarantee that the sensor is faulty (not that uncommon on the E46).

Rear end squeek could be shock mounts (very common and not too expensive to replace). Does the squeek occur while your driving along or is it only when stopped with the handbrake on?. The reason I ask is because I had a similar problem with My E36 and it turn out to be something to do with the handbrake mechanism (can't remember the exact cause though, sorry).

I'd definately get the airbag light looked into.It could just be a plug or a sensor playing up, but worst case scenario is it could be telling you there's a serious fault with the airbag. The last thing you want is the airbag firing off whilst innocently drivng along!.

Hope that's of some help to you. smile
