A bit of a weak one, but did lol when I saw the cat "jumping" on to the table.

Yes, the cat did land with a bit of a lump. Normally the clues are all the way though.

But come on...screaming or high pitched pipe to break glass laugh Give us some credit please.

Normally enjoy Jonathan Creek, but I thought that was one of the poorest episodes I have seen.

Dissapointed. Wish i'd watched the final Frost (Pt 1 of 2) over on ITV...

The early JC's with Caroline Quentin were consistently good i thought.

Frost was fantastic, quite dark compared with the previous ones though.

It didn't start well. A couple of minutes in, the passenger in the car reached over to the car CD player in the BMW... And it was a model from 2000 or so.

Rather dull I thought.

May have been improved if it was an hour rather than an hour and a half.

I said about that  But i was just called a geek and told to shut up

It seemed like there were some scenes missing or something to me? Especially between the "reveal" at the Judas tree, and talking to the old cleaner woman.

Also something I didn't understand...

When the man and woman said "of course we didn't know about her illness" - had that been mentionned at any point? I don't get it

You sure they said illness?

If you mean at the end they were talking about not knowing she was pregnant

They created the mystery by just not telling us anything. "Oh by the way I was tried for the murder of my bosses brother, could that have been a motive?" and "have you seen my best friend anywhere? she seems to have gone missing".

Also when she was grabbed by the man at the begging there was just grass no massive false house and huge ammounts of scafolding on top of him.

How did they get out of the cellar that they were stuck in with the tons of logs on top of the trap door?

Policeman searching heard them.

Better than the last Christmas special where the lack of action by the Police was more baffling than the plot.

Most of the "holes" were explained but you had to be watching carefully. As for why the girl didn't mention the "Murder" She had been cleared of, would you?? It could also be the memory she referred to that covered it up. It should have been brought up in court though unless there is some rule that would preclude it.

Maybe there's a deleted scene involving Sheridan Smith being caught in the litter box.

The bit with the vase falling down the stairs was very Carry On Cleo - a la Charles Hautrey in the vase. Spoilt it for me and I wanted to see McGann arrested not in church at the end?!

You don't know far he dragged himself, I thoroughly enjoyed it....not the best (this was the one where a man sold his soul to the devil imho)...

It felt like the writer had lots of small plot points he wanted to use, but was struggling to tie them together. I agree about the cut scenes, it needed to be a full 2 hour programme and felt like it had been edited down. When it got to the reveal I found myself thinking "yes, but hang on..." rather too much. The text message thing with Mrs Warboys was waaay too much of a Hitchcock style maguffin.

So many problems with both the filming and the plot. In the 1988 scenes, she wouldn't have been wearing low cut hipster jeans but relatively high waisted ones. Which reminds me, I'm generally all for girls wearing jeans so tight you can read their lips, but Sheridan Smith is possibly a bit too, er, curvy to carry them off. I still would though. In the denouement scene at the tree, one of the torches kept turning from an LED (blue light) one to a bulb one (yellow light).

But, and it is a big but, I would still love to see another series of Jonathan Creek.

Hence the reference to 'taking an innocent life' when he went to confession - he was referring to the unborn baby
