Anyone got a clue what this could be, before i check it in to my local garage?
I run an ML 430 and recently it has started to squeak when turning, only first thing though. Once it warms up it seems to be ok. Maybe a fluid to be topped up? hopefully not expensive remedy, as at its age its not worth spending loads I dont think.

Worn/slack drive belt if your lucky (though should be self tensioning).

Bet its not the only thing that squeaks on it though.;)

Thanks for advice. Would a lack of power steering fluid be a possible solution? to be fair to the old girl, she's in pretty good shape, rear shocks changed last year and mostly in good shape. got a leaky footwell, and i cant establish where thats coming from either. thought maybe a blocked gully around the drivers doorframe, but still not figured it out yet.
