ALLOY WHEEL (ET SIZE) FOR '93 CHIMAERA

Anyone know what the ET size is.
Seen some alloys I want but the ET is ET40.

There are 16x7in on front and 17x7.5in on rear.

From memory ET28 front and ET35 rear. The higher the number the more they stick out. I went for 7 x 17 Kahn RSRs with ET30 all round on my 95 Chimaera and they are fine.

Hi guys,

IIRC the ET number is how far the mounting face is away from the center line of the wheel. Therefore the higher the number the further IN the wheel will sit.

The guy who fitted compomotive MOs (Monaco I think) said TVR Malaysia guys told him ET35 if that helps.

corin Denton what profile typres are you running.

215x45ZR17 on front and 235X40X17 on the rear, you might have to drop to 40 profile on the front depending on your vehicle. As you already know the battery is in the passenger footwell and intrudes into the arch, due to the inconsistency of the moulds from factory it might catch the wheel on lock. The 5% drop in profile does this perfectly. I used to run a branch of ATS, my wheels fitted perfectly but me mate had to drop profile, same car, same wheel, same tyre!

As STEVE T says,

I have ET35 all round, But my wheels are 18x8 all round. the offset is optimum for a wheel width of 8" for them to sit correctly.

Any problems with the wheels fouling the bodywork or suspension with 18 inchers??
