My wife said why another press conference?

And giving it some thought I tend to agree - he's a cock who got caught and is making himself look quite frankly an idiot at best. Stop grovelling and either get on with your job or go away - oh, and think about your family and those closest to you who you claim to love dearly next time you're in a club and get a hard-on.

This was a good idea as it gets it all out the way so he can concentrate on playing his game. The thing I find most amazing about all this though is over the last year and a half or so he's been out of the game for about 13 months, 5 for the 'personal problems' and 8 months after his knee op yet he's still world number one.

I was (I don't know why) under the impression that all the top golfers gave interviews leading up to the start of the first days play as part of the build up.
Maybe TW was the only one with enough media interest to have it on more than a sports channel?

Yes, most if not all will, especially on the eve of a Major. However, Wood's interview would be the only one that the media would care about on a Monday.

I thought it was a very honest and open press conference - he seemed genuine enough, though I get the impression his marriage is FUBAR'd. I can forgive him his indiscretions, but he was becoming a grade A ahole on course, so hopefully he'll stop acting like the cock that he was becoming.
