Clash of the Titans

Its actually rather good, very watchable and an enjoyable way to waste a couple of hours. Rather unusually aswell, most of the cast seem to be British or European. Not sure why Sam Worthington born in Godalming seems to spend the movie flipping between a Scottish and Aussie accent though.
I saw it last night actually, in 2D.
Read a review during the day yesterday that it's really bad in 3D as it was done afterwards, rather than filmed intentionally and with the right equipment. So went for 2D - and it was very enjoyable, if predictable.
The guy out of Skins didn't fit well though, not sure why - maybe it's just that I know him as other chracters.
Oh, and also, I was on holiday in Tenerife a couple of weeks ago - they said loads of it was filmed out there during last year. Random fact for you

Thanks for the Tenerife fact, I was wondering where much of it was filmed.
I heard the same thing about the 3D aspect, so we choose 2D for that reason aswell.
I know Sam Worthington is an Aussie, it was why he seemed to flip between Scottish and Aussie that got me.
And predictable? Of course its predictable, its a pretty old well told story!
And wtf was the bloke from Skins? Presumably one of the minor characters?

My girlfriend said that
It's like watching Titanic. Yes, you know what's going to happen, BUT, the plots beneath it were all predictable, but in an action=movie type way that was enjoyable to watch. There were no surprises, let's put it that way.DJC said:

This guy;(About a Boy with Hugh Grant)

In skins...

He was the younger guy of the 6 or so that went on the trek.

Never saw the original but was an alright film nothing special IMO. I have vowed never to do 3D again though, its not worth the eye ache.
And tbh Percy and the lightening Bolt Theif is a slightly adapted version for kids but far more entertaining.
Have a look at the original. It may be a bit clunky by modern special effects standards but Ray Harryhausens's work has a certain charm about it. Also, the original had quite a few well known movie stars of the day appearing as "The Gods".And tbh Percy and the lightening Bolt Theif is a slightly adapted version for kids but far more entertaining.
I saw Avatar 3D a few weeks ago - it looked stunning and visually was superb. The key is that it's NOT like the 3D stuff you've seen in theme parks where they make trucks drive at you and such. The director of avatar said "3D should not be the screen and towards you. It should be the screen and away from you, adding depth".
First time I saw Avatar I had a very bad head for about 2 days - really messed me up, but apparently it's just the first time you watch 3D. I saw Avatar for a second time (it was that good) with a different friend, and my head was a million times better. I think it really is just getting used to it all.
