OZ Multispoke Centre Piece Locking Stud
Discussion
Have you tried contacting OZ Racing via their UK website? I got a brand new set of security bolts plus a new T handle key from OZ via my old dealer about three years ago, worth a try. I'm sure thet are not unique to the Griff, and similar are used on some of their other wheels.Good luck with it.

By the way, the T handle is marked type L1, that may be the security patern rather than a type number though

I have contacted Motorsport Wheels (who are the comapny you are directed to via the OZ Racing web site) and the locking bolts are not available through them anymore. Has anyone got any other ideas as the wheels are useless without these.
I am sure someone does them. I have seen the Estoril locking bolts made by a comapny called McGann but cannot find a number for them.
Any help would be much appreciated as the wheels are going for refurb next weekend but I am not going to bother if I can't get the studs.
If anyone knows the threadsize or any other details I will contact some local fixings suppliers.

From my reply on "General TVR Stuff": -
On my Griff 500, the OZ wheels have a plastic cover over the wheel bolts. The cover is held in place with a special security screw that goes rusty!
Leven do supply replacement screws which are stainless steel and have a simple allen head.
Hope this helps...good luck!

FlipFlop, these are the dimensions taken from the OZ split rims on my car:
Thread is M6 1.0 pitch, which is a standard thread form.
Overall length 30mm
Head Diameter 13mm
Head depth 9mm, 5mm vertical + 4mm 45 deg taper
Shaft length 21mm with 16mm threaded
Head is counterbored with offset pin socket for key.
A local machinist should be able to turn these up in stainless or modify something similar for you.
If you have access try the RS catalogue for security set screws as a temporay alternative, although these will not have the locking taper.
I have the Mcgard turret key bolts on my other set of wheels which are Estorills, and have found the security registration form for them dated 1999, although the return address is in Germany.

Might be worth a go though. The BBS cross spokes as used on BMW's have a very similar centre cap, wonder what holds those on?
Don't give up, there is always a solution!

Thanks Griffer - the spec sounds about right looking at the centre piece. I have scoured BMW's for months and they do have a similar centre "cap" which must be secured with adhesive.
Is this the actual spec or estimated as I don't want to spend a fortune if they are a few mil either way?
I will try an engineering company to see if they will make them to this spec.
Thanks Toffer. I did see the reply and have looked at the Leven Web site and the locking bolt looked the same as the ones I have on the Estorils.

They are the actual measurements as near as i can get using a vernier , I would suggest taking a centre cap with you for the machine shop to try against though.
The only critical size is the head height really, they could cut the thread all the way to the taper.
Good luck with it, I think the split rims are worth persevering with.
By the way, do you have the correct wheel hub nuts, the nut pockets are deeper on the front wheels, the rears use a shallower nut, unlike the Estorils which use the same front and back. If they are wrong you wont get the centre cap on.

Yes, I do have the shorter nuts which would have been easier to get hold of than these bloody bolts.
I have tried a local engineering firm but they only do orders £100 plus and have declined anyway as this isn't something they do.
Are there any engineers here who could help?
Desperate and frustrated.

FFG, these bolts. My Dad will deffo make some up no probs, let me know how many you want. He's going to need one as a pattern (doesn't matter if the heads a bit duff). He's got some stainless bar in the garage, and if you can spare a wheel, he'd like that to make sure the threads are going to be OK.
If you've only got the plate and the wheel, it may take a little longer.
