This letter appeared in todays local newspaper, scary to think there may just be enough with this mindset to get them back in!

"I'll be voting Labour this time, as always. My father and his father before him voted the same. I think Gordon Brown has done a good job, steering the economy through rough seas. It wont take us long to pay back the £1.3 trillion that he's borrowed to get us through."

Write a letter explaining how big a number 1.3 Trillion is.

How many tens of thousands is he STILL borrowing EVERY DAY????

I think you'll find it's an order of magnitude bigger than that!

I think it's definitely a piss-take. And a rather good one too. It's the outlining of the sheer sum of money involved that confirms it to me.

£3.3b a week, so that's about £471,428,571 a day. Tens of Thousands?!!!

Two options with that letter,

a) it's a piss-take but unfortunately it will fly over the heads of so many readers.

Leaves oldsoak to post his whoosh / parrot picture.
