Anyone an idea of whats the best percentage discount you could expect on a new 3 series saloon or coupe?

Last June I got 20% on a specced up facelift E90.

Last month I got pretty much bugger all on a facelift E92.

In case that's lost on anyone, I presume it's because last week was the end of the quarter and now it's a new quarter. Hence the end of quarter panic has gone away for a couple of months.

The phrase "snooze ya lose" springs to mind.

It does make me laugh how people bleat when their cars are part exchanged yet want a mahoooosive deal when they buy it.

Cake and eat it.....

Contract hire deals last month were crazy good.

3.0 V6 Jaguar XF Luxury with leather, xenons, auto and nav for £259+ 3x35.
3.0d Xf for £30 more.

XC90 D5 Geartronic Active for £259+ 3x35.

Both of those are over 50% more this week. frown

Not so sure - BMW cars contribute to quarterly sales figures when they are registered, not when they are ordered... so a new car ordered at the end of March wouldn't make any difference to Q1 results.

My dealer has 11% to play with, but there is apparently pressure from BMW to keep the car price up and discount the optional extras.

If it helps, I got 9% off a 135 for June 5th delivery without too much haggling.

Got 9% off a 135i recently as well.

BMW finance rates did go up on 1st April though.

Blimey, that's bizarre thinking. All the punter cares about is what he ends up paying! Doesn't matter how you slice and dice it.

Though I've always thought the margin on certain optional extras must be huge and must add greatly to the profitability of the car. I doubt sports seats cost much more than regular seats to make yet they cost several hundred pounds more.
